Optimize your blog for maximum revenues

It has been repeated ad nausea here and elsewhere that the success of any blog rests entirely on the traffic it can generate. The ensuing revenues are a direct result of this. But what are the tricks that will make your blog a winner in this rat race? We look at exactly this and find out how to make your blog a traffic magnet.

• Add "Tag Clouds" on your blog like the one you see on this blog on the right side. This is a very potent force multiplier and I have read about so many bloggers who have doubled their traffic just by adding a tag cloud in their blogs. You can add this from by looking at the instructions here.
• Add a related posts section. There are a lot of plugins available that will help you add this in your blog.
• Add a top ten posts feature to list out your most popular posts. But do this only when you have a sizeable number of blogs. This will defeat the purpose if you have only 5 posts and you add a TOP TEN section... I hope you get my point.
• Add a NEXT and PREVIOUS post links.
• Claim your blog at Technorati and use its tags.
• Use DiggIt and Reddit. This is strictly through personal experience - DiggIt and Reddit have the dramatic impact on your traffic. Just use it once and you will make it habit to go there every day.
